Keeping Safe
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone:
- All swimmers are required to wear appropriate swimwear.
- No swimmer may enter the pool unless instructed by a coach or club official.
- Walking is required around the pool area at all times. Running is not permitted.
- Swimmers, parents, caregivers, and volunteers must follow directions from coaches, officials, and committee members.
- Please remain clear of timekeepers and officials while races are in progress unless directed otherwise.
- Swimmers participating in training sessions should remain in the pool until instructed to exit by their coach.
- Only authorised helpers may sit on the pool steps during events.
- Parents and caregivers remain responsible for supervising their children when they are not participating in a supervised swimming activity.
- Any swimmer who has experienced diarrhoea must not enter the pool for 14 days after symptoms have ceased.
- Swimmers with asthma should bring their inhaler poolside.
- Parents and caregivers should advise the club of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or support needs that may affect a swimmer's participation or safety.
- Swimmers are encouraged to use toilet facilities before entering the pool and to maintain good pool hygiene practices.
The club reserves the right to suspend participation in any activity where coaches, officials, or committee members believe continued participation may present a safety risk to the swimmer or others.
