11. Over 65?
Vanessa Gray, a club member, is completing her Uni. of Otago medical psychology PhD and is seeking just a few more 'over 65s' as participants in her research. Vanessa talked to this at our last club night and passed on her thanks to those who indicated interest, and to those already part of the study.
Vanessa will send more detailed information to those interested.

Briefly ....
Emotion Processing in Older Persons
"Changes in memory and thinking are common in ageing. Research also suggests that ageing may impact how people think about emotions. This study will measure memory and emotion processing in people aged 45-65 and compare this with people over 65.
Participants need to be over the age of 65 and in good health. To take part you must not have suffered from any major mental illness, or had a brain injury or significant illness likely to interfere with cognitive testing. We will check with you about these things beforehand.
The testing process will take approximately two hours. A $50 Westfield voucher will be given at completion.
