Year 9 Art options for 2025:

Art for Absolute Beginners

Wanted to try art but not confident? Teaching the absolute basics of Art in an easy to manage set of projects across a range of art disciplines.

Art for Artists

If you already do art in your spare time and would love to learn more, this is
the course for you. Learn advanced techniques in a range of different media including drawing, painting, photography or even sculpture.  You will make a proposal for your own project where we will look at artist models to inspire your work.

Digital Art

Through a range of interesting projects, students will learn how to use the Adobe suite of products: Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.  Examples of projects include creating a superhero character, making a mini zine on the topic of your choice, creating posters and much more.  Students will also produce a mini portfolio at the end of the course to showcase skills that they’ve learnt.  The Adobe suite is provided for all students while they are in this class.
