Welcome to Mountain Raiders BMX - the home of BMX racing in East Auckland.

Mountain Raiders BMX is based at number 2 Bells Road, Pakuranga Heights, Aucklandinside Lloyd Elsmore Park.

We are a BMX New Zealand affiliated club providing:

  • Club night racing (Friday's)
  • Coaching and skill development (dates TBC)
  • Regional and national race opportunities
  • Recreational riding
  • A welcoming BMX community

Our club caters for:

  • Recreational riders
  • Competitive riders
  • Children and adults of all ages

Our club is an Incorporated Society, operating solely on the generosity and dedication of volunteers.


WHAT IS BMX RACING?

BMX stands for Bicycle Motocross and is a form of off-road bicycle racing on specially designed tracks.

Races are short, exciting sprint races around a purpose-built track featuring:

  • Start hills
  • Berms (banked corners)
  • Rollers
  • Jumps
  • Rhythm sections

Riders race in groups of up to 8 riders called a moto.
