Term based skating classes
During the school term, we have two classes on Monday afternoon / evening.
- Mondays 4pm - 4.45pm, all ages learn to skate to prepare for beginner competitions and progress to join our artistic skating team if desired
- Mondays 6.45pm - 7.30pm, adults learn to skate & skating skills, building to a recreational level of skating
We cover the skills set out in the KiwiSkate programme.
- There is a lesson fee of $100 per term which is paid in advance to secure a place
- There is also an annual fee of $35 (junior) / $45 (senior) to be a member of the club. This is renewed after 28 February each year
- Skaters must have their own skates to join this class
- At the end of the term, we will test each student based on the KiwiSkate programme so each skater is aware of their progress and what their next steps are
2025 DATES
- Term 1: Monday 10 February - Monday 7 April
- Term 2: Monday 28 April - Monday 27 June (no class Kings Birthday)
- Term 3: Monday 14 July - Monday 15 September
- Term 4: Monday 6 October - Monday 15 December (no class Labour Day)
NEW MEMBERS
If you have not skated with us before, complete the registration form to be a member of Mt Wellington RSC (required to attend these classes). As well as being eligible for these lessons, members receive a bag tag each year which can be shown at the Skateland office for discounted public sessions.
