Netball South is a regional netball organisation focused on promoting the game of netball and delivering advice and support services to the people behind the game, and the programmes, teams, events and competitions they run.
Netball South was established in December 2012, when three entities - Netball Southland, Netball Otago and Southern Team Co were merged into one organisation called Netball South Zone Incorporated, as part of a national restructure of netball zones driven by Netball New Zealand. The purpose of Netball South and the rules it operates by are laid out in the Constitution.
Every three years the Board of Netball South reviews its strategic direction. Netball South is currently in the second year of its third strategic plan since it was established in 2012. The current strategic plan is a culmination of consultation with our netball centres, strategic thinking workshops held in both Invercargill and Dunedin and analysis of our performance over the last three years.
