Club Alcohol Policy


Vision

To promote the game of lawn bowls and encourage all members to enhance their abilities in a caring, respectful and supportive environment.


Mission

New Brighton Bowling Club Incorporated is committed to provide a supportive environment for everyone in the community with quality lawn bowling learning experience that is fun, safe and friendly.

Members of this community and this club recognise that the misuse of alcohol constitutes a threat to our mission.


This policy applies to club members; their guests and members of clubs with reciprocal visiting rights, and any affiliated team (whether or not the member is an authorised customer) on club property and facilities; and while engaged in a club activity.


Our rules

  • Alcohol will be available for members to purchase from the bar
  • Those under eighteen will not be served alcohol.
  • If we think you are under twenty-five, do not be offended if we ask for ID.
  • No alcohol to be taken off the property or consumed outside the gates on both entrances
  • Members will be asked to show their membership cards before they can be served
  • Those disregarding the rules of the Club will be asked to leave
  • No drugs are allowed on club premises
  • BYO alcohol is not permitted
  • Disorderly behaviour or intoxication on premises or when representing the club will not be tolerated
  • Remember you are representing the club when playing off-site or on tour
  • Alcohol vouchers, rewards, awards and prizes will not be allowed.

This policy will be posted on the notice boards and delivered to members in newsletters, at the entrance to the club, in our Programme Booklet, on the club’s website and in locker rooms etc.
