Tuesday Club Night Racing

Our first Club Night of the season is Tuesday, 1 September!

We’ll be holding Club Nights every Tuesday evening throughout the BMX season at our track in Albany.

North Harbour BMX is a friendly, inclusive family club, with riders ranging from 3-year-olds taking their first steps on the track to mums and dads racing alongside their children. Our members compete at club, national and international events, and we welcome riders of all ages and abilities.

Racing for all ages and abilities!

We hold our club nights on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer (generally September - April) at our track in Albany, North Harbour. Since BMX is a summer sport, we don't hold club nights in winter, but we aim to run gates whenever possible to keep members riding.

Our club focuses on creating a fun and inclusive family environment. Our members range from 3-year-old riders to mums and dads, competing at club, national, and international events.

Tuesday Club Night

Registration opens at 5:15 PM and closes at 5.45 PM

  • Racing starts at 6:00 PM sharp and finishes around 7:30 PM

During registration, riders are sorted into ability groups. Racing starts with our beginner riders and progresses through to our more advanced groups.

Each group completes three motos, giving riders the chance to practise their racing, build confidence and compete alongside riders at a similar level. After the three motos, we come together for our Rider of the Night presentations, recognising riders who have shown great effort, improvement, sportsmanship or simply a fantastic attitude on the night. We then finish the evening with a fourth fun race, adding a little extra excitement and giving riders one more chance to get out on the track and enjoy themselves.

Club Nights are about more than just racing — they’re about having fun, supporting each other and being part of our BMX community.

New Riders welcome!

New riders can join us for their first three Club Nights completely free. It’s a great way to experience BMX, learn how Club Nights work and see if racing is right for you — with no commitment required.

After three Club Nights, riders who wish to continue racing with us will need to become a North Harbour BMX member, in line with our BMXNZ requirements.
