New Zealand Blind Lawn Bowling Association

About  the New Zealand Blind Lawn Bowling Association

We are the national organisation who administers the sport of Blind Lawn Bowls in New Zealand.
Our main objectives and goals are to:
1.  To promote and raise the awareness of Blind Lawn Bowls amongst both Blind and people with Low Vision nationwide and to increase the numbers currently playing this sport.
2.  To raise the awareness of our sport amongst the sighted bowling community and to encourage our Blind & Low Vision members to join local bowling clubs.
3.  To organise and promote our National Championships and any other relevant events at a national level. To also select and develop our national team, the BlindJacks™, and to assist with fund raising and related costs to get the team to any international events.
4.  To identify new Blind Bowlers and to develop any Blind Bowlers that wish to work towards competing at the highest level in our sport such as representing New Zealand at the IBBA world championships as a BlindJack™.
5.  To offer support in anyway we can to the regional Blind Lawn Bowls organisations that are affiliated to us.

The New Zealand Blind Lawn Bowling Association is a member country of the International Blind Bowlers Association (IBBA).  We are affiliated to Blind Sport New Zealand and also recognised by Bowls New Zealand.  We are a registered Charity, CC48416.
