Onerahi Natives Softball Club: Who We Are

Born in 2019, built on whānau.Onerahi Natives Softball Club is more than just a team — it’s a movement, a community, and a whānau. From our humble beginnings, our values have been the heartbeat of everything we do. They're not just words on a page — they’re how we train, how we compete, how we support, and how we celebrate.

We’re a club with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of aroha. And we’re calling on you — players, parents, coaches, volunteers, supporters — to be part of something special.

Our Mission

To deliver a softball experience that’s fun, inclusive, competitive, and grounded in community. We create a space where talent is nurtured, confidence is built, and lifelong friendships are formed. Whether you're stepping up to the plate for the first time or returning for another season, you're part of something bigger — a club that believes in people first, softball second.

Our Core Values

🧡 Whānau – You’re not just joining a team; you’re becoming part of a family. Everyone matters here. Everyone belongs.
🧡 Manaakitanga – We lead with care, generosity, and respect — on the diamond, in the dugout, and across our communities.
🧡 Whakawhanaungatanga – We grow stronger together through connection, trust, and unity. Our club thrives because of the bonds we build.

Why Our Values Matter

In just a few short years, our junior division has flourished — now proudly fielding four thriving teams. That kind of growth doesn’t happen by luck. It happens because people feel it here: the warmth, the energy, the passion. We don’t just teach softball — we teach life. We teach confidence, leadership, resilience, and pride in where we come from.

When you wear that Natives shirt, you're not just representing a club — you're standing for a kaupapa built on values that endure.

We Want You With Us

Whether you're a future slugger, a seasoned pitcher, a sideline cheerleader, or a parent wanting to get involved — we’ve got a place for you.Come as you are. Grow with us. Stay because you belong.

Nau mai, haere mai — Onerahi Natives Softball is calling. And we don’t just want you — we need you.
