Show Hunter Championships (October) – A North Island event, held in the Manawatu-Horowhenua area. Usually, two teams of six show hunter riders are sent from Wellington PC. The divisions are; category A (up to 65cm. Your pony should have a 10ft stride), category B (up to 75cm. Your pony should have a 10'6ft stride) , category C (90cm. Your pony should have an 11ft stride) and hacks (90cm with a 12ft stride). (Club level)

Palmers Plimmerton Dressage – A inter-club event, within Wairarapa/Wellington area. Riders compete at junior (under 14 years ) or senior level (14-21 years), with tests out of the NZPCA Blue Book. (Club level)

NZPCA Dressage Championships
A national event, held in Taupo, that usually requires an area trial. Wairarapa/Wellington area usually sends a team. Riders over 16 years are required to ride at level 3. Riders under 16 years are required to ride at level 2.

Bruce Forbes Teams Training – A North Island event, where a team of six eventing riders from Wellington PC, are sent. This event is usually held within the Wairarapa/Wellington region. Riders must be under 21 and not have competed higher than their respective grades. The eventing levels are at intro (65cm), pre-training (80cm) and training (95cm). (Club level)

Cambridge Show Jumping (January)– A North Island event, where a team of six show jumping riders are sent from Wellington PC. Junior riders, aged under 14 years compete at 0.90-1.05m. Intermediate riders, 14 – 16 years, compete at 1 – 1.20m. Senior riders, aged 17 to 21 years, compete at 1.05 -1.25m.

HOY Show Jumping (March)– A national event, where riders representing area, are sent. You should be competitive at 1.10m on ponies and at a 1.15m on hacks.

Eventing Championsips (April)– A national event, where a team of six eventing riders are sent. It is to be held in the Waikato for 2014. Open (1.05m) eventing scores must be posted prior. (Area level)

Timberlands (April) – A North Island event, held in Tokaroa, where eventing riders are sent from Wellington PC. The level is at training (95cm).

Battle Hill Teams Event – An inter-branch competition held over four eventing levels. The levels are; intro (65cm), pre-training (80cm), training (95cm) and open (1.05cm). (Branch/Club level)

Prince Phillip Games  – An inter-club competition, held within  area. The branch can send teams of 5 riders. The games of the competition are set by NZPCA each year. The top 5 teams from Prince Phillip Games, go to Zone 3 Finals. (Club level)
