Established in 1954, the Otago University Rugby League Club has provided tertiary students and the wider community a welcoming and affordable environment to play rugby league in, whether it be for the first time or the 200th. We have players of all sizes and skill levels, a dedicated support crew, and experienced coaching staff who do all they can to lead the boys to victory. It is the people that are involved in the club that make our players want to come back every season.

What makes OURLC unique?

We are a student-led/ex-student led club. This means that most of our executive committee is made up of players in the club. We don't have the same social hierarchy that a lot of clubs have and our players have easy access to decision-makers. 

Our executive members benefit from practical experience to supplement their studies and develop desirable aspects such as leadership, accountability,  communication skills and organisation.
