Established in 1954, the Otago University Rugby League Club has long provided a welcoming and affordable rugby league club to students in Dunedin. We live by our values of integrity, passion, leadership, respect and courage and aim to display them on and off the field.
Our players love being apart of our club, which stems from our welcoming, close-knit culture. Our players describe our team culture as "brotherly" and our new players are welcomed into the fold by our senior squad.
Like any good business, we believe our players are our best asset, so we aim to keep our costs minimal and offer a range of benefits to our players. As, a student club, having high player costs would be a deterrent for our playing group. This dictates that we find other ways of covering our costs. This includes player-led fundraising and applying for grants but we also look for more stable means in the form of sponsorship by local businesses.
To the right is our sponsorship structure, which we use as a guideline for each sponsor, with aspects of the sponsorship negotiable - we like to consider your needs and goals and how we can help you reach them.
