Freesailing, you will be unsupervised and must to be a competent windsurfer for the conditions (see Seven Common Senses). We have a range of sails for 1.5 to 9mtr and boards to suit. We have a selection of harness but very few wetsuits.
No need to book if you are joining us with your own gear and don't need a lesson.
See Learn to windsurf for how to register and book a session.
Alreadly a confident windsurfer? Book your first freesail session and let us know that you need an induction. We'll have a chat about your abilities and share the tips for the locaton. Need a refresher before your freesail? Book a lesson and add message a message about the last time you windsurfed and your ability.
Book a lesson and progress until you are confident. From never windsurfing to sailing in control, is conducted over at least three sessions. By the end you'll be able to sail where you want and if you cant, to be able to return to land safely.

- Self help - check out youtube, there is a lot of amazing videos for you to learn from.
- Become an instructor, we run a course when we have enough interest, drop us an email
How do you get access the shed and gear outside of advertised sessions?
Join the WhatsApp group for the adhoc freesail sessions. See a good forecast but nothing advertised? Post on WhatsApp, you might motivate a keyholder to join you.
The shed keyholders are Committee members, Instructors & Beach Masters (Open shed for club freesailing and inductions). We have a duty of care for those windsurfing with us and the care of our equipment. Give a little support to the club and in return the Committee can offer keyholder access. If you want to support the club, drop us an email or chat to a committee member/instructor.
