Papakura City x NRF Women's - Ford Futsal SuperLeague
Papakura City x NRF Women's SuperLeague team's title defence is underway with the return of New Zealand’s longest-ever futsal season on the 17th January.
The 2026 Ford Futsal SuperLeague will feature 92 matches across 14 rounds, culminating in the Finals Series, bringing the competition even closer in line with professional futsal environments overseas. The men’s and women’s Finals will be played over the weekend of 28–29 March.
This season builds on the strong momentum of recent years, following the Futsal Whites’ and Futsal Ferns’ maiden FIFA Futsal World Cup appearances in 2024 and 2025, highlighting the continued growth of the game nationwide.
The 2026 men’s Ford Futsal SuperLeague includes Auckland City FC x NRF, Bay of Plenty Surge, Capital Futsal, Canterbury United Futsal Dragons, Hawke’s Bay Futsal, Palmerston North Marist, and Waikato Rapids.
The women’s competition will feature Bay of Plenty Surge, Capital Futsal, Canterbury United Futsal Pride, Hawke’s Bay Futsal, Palmerston North Marist, Papakura City x NRF, and Waikato Rapids.
The season opener was held at the newly opened Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre in Christchurch on January 17th which marked the first futsal matches played at the venue.
