Pasifika at Papamoa College
At Papamoa College, we are proud to celebrate and support our Pasifika students through a range of initiatives that promote culture, leadership, and community connection. Our vibrant Pasifika group provides a space for students to embrace and express their cultural identity through performance, language, and shared experiences.
We also empower students through our Pasifika Leadership Team, where emerging leaders are nurtured and equipped with the skills and confidence to represent their peers, contribute to school initiatives, and inspire others within and beyond our college community.
Additionally, we are actively involved in the AIGA Programme, an external initiative facilitated by Henry Fa'afili at the BOP Youth Development Trust. This programme provides valuable mentorship and personal development opportunities for Pasifika youth, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose through workshops, cultural engagement, and goal setting.
Together, these opportunities help strengthen identity, build leadership, and connect our Pasifika students to a wider whānau of support and success.
