'Papamoa college has an established Punjabi dance group called 'Punjabi beats'. 'Punjabi beats' is a growing and dynamic dance group that performs 'Bhangra' a dance form from the 'Punjab' region of Northern India. We started with one team however students have shown a huge interest and we are now on to a junior and a senior group of students training every wednesday for their annual performances.
'Punjabi beats' proudly represents Papamoa College at the Tauranga Multicultural festival and also participates in Papamoa college's annual cultural festival. Traditional costumes and dance moves with modern music enables our students to embrace their cultural identity proudly'
