Selwyn Parks and Reserves Bylaws 2009

Under section 12.4 we have permission to use RC models in Selwyn parks,

12.4(c), less than 1 kg, electric powered, within the boundaries of the park, not cause annoyance to other users.

The additional item from CAA, not fly over people.

Brookside and Dunns Crossing Roads

This park is used for soccer in winter and cricket in summer. The cricket pitches make good runways though they are narrow and only suitable for prevailing NE/SW winds.

It also has flood lights. This can make flying at night possible with UM planes and without conflicting with practise sessions. Not more than the height of the lights and not more than 100 metres away from the light nearist to the model.

At least 8 local flyers are often using this field.
