Foam Board
Gordan Harris, 34 Southwark St.
Bunnings, Tower Junction. In the paint section.
Some Two Dollar shops.
This is Depron (extruded polystyrene), 30"x20" and with paper covering. Removing the paper to lighten the foam board is best done using iso-propyl alcohol.
The alternative is to buy Model Plane Foam (MPF) from the States. About $120 for 35 sheets of 1 metre by 200 mm. This works out to about $4 a sheet which isn't too bad, especially if you can share the expense.
Magazines
There are 2 shops in Christchurch that sell a range of RC model aircraft magazines -

If you have seen an issue on the web that has something interesting you can ask them to hold a copy for you as long as they can acquire that title from their suppliers.
