PARKLANDS CHRISTCHURCH UNITED SOFTBALL CLUB

Parklands Christchurch United (PCU) is a proud, family-oriented softball club based in eastern Christchurch. We are committed to providing an enjoyable, inclusive and supportive softball environment while fostering excellence at every level — from our youngest Tee-Ball players through to senior and premier competition.

While our home is in east Christchurch, our PCU whānau includes players and families from across the city who come together through a shared passion for softball, community and sport.

PCU is proud to have achieved ClubMark Bronze accreditation through Sport Canterbury, recognising the strength of our club management, leadership and operations. We are committed to continuing our development as a club as we work towards achieving ClubMark Silver.

A Pathway for Every Player

At PCU, there is a place for everyone, whether you are picking up a bat and glove for the first time or aspiring to compete at the highest level.

Our youngest players begin their softball journey with mixed Tee-Ball, a fun, action-packed introduction to the game where everyone gets involved. Players have plenty of opportunities to bat, field, run the bases and develop their skills while learning the fundamentals of softball in a positive and encouraging environment.

From Tee-Ball, players can progress through our junior grades and into senior and premier softball. Our aim is to provide clear development pathways that allow players to continue learning, improving and enjoying the game for as long as they choose.

Developing Excellence

PCU has a proud history of developing talented athletes and supporting players to achieve at representative level. Our club has produced players who have represented New Zealand, as well as players selected for Canterbury Red Sox, Red Hawks and Junior Canterbury representative teams.

We are extremely proud of the achievements of our representative players and the strong pathway PCU provides for our younger athletes. Their success demonstrates what can be achieved through commitment, quality coaching, strong club support and a genuine love of the game.

PCU is about more than what happens on the diamond. We are a community built around family, friendship, development, teamwork and belonging.

Our coaches, managers, committee members and volunteers are an important part of what makes our club successful. We aim to provide every team with the support, equipment and resources they need to have a positive and successful season.

We are always keen to welcome new players, coaches, managers and volunteers into the PCU family. Whether you want to play socially, develop your skills, compete at an elite level, coach, volunteer or simply become part of a great sporting community, there is a place for you at PCU.
