PARKLANDS CHRISTCHURCH UNITED SOFTBALL CLUB

Parklands Christchurch United is a family orientated softball club which delivers enjoyable softball and excellence from elite to tee-ball through first-class management, leadership and facilities.

PCU is a sustainable club with a good strong club plan, policies and procedures in place to guide us into the future.

Even though the club is based in eastern Christchurch, PCU have players from all over the city.

The club recently achieved Club Mark bronze, an accreditation through Sports Canterbury.
We are the only softball club in Christchurch to have achieved this accreditation and we will now work towards a Club Mark silver.

For people who are new to softball, young children begin with mixed tee-ball, a 6-aside game where each player rotates around the diamond.

With about six innings per game, it’s action packed and everyone gets a bat, which keeps the little ones involved and interested.

The players then progress on to little league, junior league, seniors and premiers.

It’s a game where you can start playing at any age and there is a lot of scope for anyone interested in playing at any level.

The club has some successful players who play for the Black Sox, Canterbury Red Sox and Red Hawks teams, as well as several Junior Canterbury representative players.

The club is always looking out for coaches and volunteers, and they aim to provide each team with a manager, and all gear is provided.
