SOUTH ISLAND PRIMARY TOURNAMENT (SIPT) 2024

SIPT is a great tournament, with teams invited from all around the South Island. Pioneer has attended SIPT for a number of years now and each year it gets better and better!

SIPT INFORMATION

Thank you to all players, managers and coaches who attended the 2023 SIPT tournament! 

Registration are almost open for SIPT 2024! We are just waiting to confirm court space for some extra trainings. Please check on Monday the 4th of March (evening)

Trials

Players must register prior to trials and be able to attend trials. By registering they agree to attend the trainings and the whole tournament. They also agree to follow the Pioneer Code of Conduct throughout the tournament.

SIPT is a development and participation based event for Pioneer Basketball Club. However, due to restrictions in team registrations selections to teams will be limited. NOT EVERY CHILD WHO TRIALS WILL BE SELECTED

Training

If selected for a team, players will be required to attend a training session and training camp prior to tournament.

Tournament

If selected for the tournament, players must be available for the WHOLE tournament

Date: Friday 19th April - Monday 22nd April

Times: Games will be played between 7am-8pm. (Draw depending)

Location: 289 Coldstream Road, Mainpower Stadium, Rangiora. 

Alternate venues around Rangiora may be added depending on the draw. 

Cost: (Includes tournament entry, Trial and training court hire, administration and uniform hire)

Y7/8 5v5, Approx $130

Y5/6 3x3, Approx $120

We are applying for funding to lower costs. 

Note: an increase in cost in 2024 due to higher registration fees and increased training based on 2023 feedback. If you require financial assistance please speak with Alice or Sandra [email protected]

- Reserves will train with the team, only charged if called on to play in the tournament.

- We will provide uniforms for the tournament but they must be returned. Teams may be required to wear their own black shorts. 

- Mouthguards are required for the tournament.

- Parents are responsible for transport to and from the venues, accommodation is not provided. Carpooling can be an option - but must be managed by parents.

- Each team is required to have a volunteer manager, we ask that any parent who is available to assist please indicate in their childs form.
