RACEWALKING AUCKLAND EVENTS 2024/25

​​​​​​ * All RWA events start at ​​​​​​​08.30 (8-30 AM) UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED!

 For juniors there will always be the option of shorter distances as required.  For persons not wanting to race we also have a social walk most Sundays  (1st-timers are welcome to just observe if they prefer ). We often have a post-walk visit to  a local Cafe for brunch also. 

19/1/25 RWA  Training Walk. Puhinui Road, Airport.

26/1/2025 RWA  RWA 3000m Championships Lovelock Track. Owairaka.

2/2/2025 Mt. Smart Athletics Auckland AAI 5000/10000m Championships: Entries close 19thJan.  https://events.mygameday.app/event/aai2025seniortfchamps

9/2/2025 * The  Winged Foot Trophy Auckland Domain is now cancelled & there will be a walk in Botanical       Gardens (Hill Road Manurewa).Meet in car park area.

16/2/2025 * STOP PRESS CANCELLED * RWA 5000m./10000m ChampionshipsYvette Williams Track,   Pakuranga. Due to Counties Manukau Champs at Massey Park Papakura on same day.

23/2/2025 RWA9.30am start.Training with coach Alana Barber at Victoria Park, Auckland.

2/3/2025 "Marching" at Karaka Harbourside Drive (Meet behind Melba Cafe). General Training Walk for all.

9th March Grant and Marilyn are away this weekend,  so do individual walks in your own area , following your           own personal  training programmes. 

16th March   Training walks at Eastern Beach meet at the far end car park. 

23rd Training Walk  suggestion from Alana to meet at Victoria Park 9am for those interested in technique and            training, for other walkers  9.30 start to walk the longer walk distances. 

30th 8.30 at Waikaraka Park, using the cemetery entrance, drive around to the carpark area near the start of                the shared cycle path /walkway.
