Under Nelson Gymnastics Stephanie has coached Trampoline Adult Classes and runs birthday parties at the facility. She has catered for school groups and developed programmes for kids with disabilities.

Over the years Stephanie has picked up a lot of Sport and Gymnastics qualifications:

  • She is qualified Play Gym Leader, which has enabled her to work with pre-school children to develop their Fundamental Skills. These include hand eye co-ordination, jumping, landing and much more.
  • Her Rec Certificate enables her to work with all ages and abilities, even with kids that have disabilities and special needs.
  • A Junior Artistic WAG and MAG qualification means she is able to coach competitive gymnasts and take them to competitions.
  • Other training and qualifications are a Level One Golf, Kiwi Sport Run-Jump-Throw and she always has updated First Aid Certificate.

CLUB HISTORY

  • Riwaka Brooklyn Gym Club has a long standing history in the Motueka region. Formed originally by Kaye Bisley in the early 1970's, many local children went through the club to achieve their Grade 1, Grade 2, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Elite Incentive award batch.
  • An enthusiastic bunch of parents proudly fundraised for equipment and supported development of the club.
  • Club has been in storage after a shift from its original home and now the Club offers gymnastic classes from Motueka Rec Centre and Wakefield School Hall.
