Rolleston College uniform: Worn every day with pride

At Rolleston College, our uniform is more than just clothing, it’s a symbol of who we are. When we wear it correctly, we aren't just "dressing up" for school; we are living the E Tū Tāngata mindset by showing that others matter, we succeed together, and we have value.

Pride in our identity

Our uniform represents unity and a commitment to excellence. When learners arrive in the correct gear, they send a powerful message: I am ready to learn, I belong here, and I respect our community.

Correct school uniform includes plain black shoes, and our board of trustees has announced that from 2027, this will be a compulsory uniform requirement. Please ensure your learner has appropriate black shoes.

A quick reminder to keep our standards high: non-uniform items (including hoodies, black jeans, or non-regulation pants) are not permitted.

We are here to support our whānau to ensure every learner feels they belong. Please reach out to your Ako or Advisory coach if you need any uniform support.

Uniform guidelines

Learners are expected to take pride in the presentation of their uniform. Correct uniform is expected in the following contexts:

  • School uniform should be worn when traveling between home and school, while at school and when representing the college at functions away from school.

  • Learners will be checked regularly for correct and full uniform.

  • If any part of the uniform cannot be worn correctly, a note explaining the matter should be given to the whānau leadership, and a replacement uniform may be issued on the day concerned.

  • Any exceptions should be discussed with whānau leaders.

  • We encourage all uniform items to be clearly named so they can be easily returned if misplaced.

The uniform can be purchased online from NZ Uniforms or in store at 455 Blenheim Road, Sockburn.
