The Big Sing: Canterbury/West Coast regional event

Big Sing is happening this Friday at 7:30pm, at the Christchurch Town Hall!

Come along and support our talented vocal group, Harmony Haemata, as they perform the pieces they have been working hard to perfect. It will be a fantastic evening showcasing some of the region's finest school choirs and vocal ensembles.

Selwyn Sings

Last night, Harmony Haemata also took part in the Selwyn Sings event, performing alongside other schools from across the Selwyn district. We hope many of you had the opportunity to attend and enjoy the performances. We look forward to sharing some photos from the evening with you next week.

Canterbury Schools Regional Orchestra

Calling all young musicians! The Canterbury Schools Regional Orchestra (CSRO) is back for 2026 and we'd love to see you there.

Join fellow orchestral players from across Canterbury for nine weeks of music-making, skill development, and fun at Te Puna Wai o Waipapa Hagley College. Rehearsals run every Friday from 3:45pm to 5:15pm during term 3, finishing with a fantastic final concert and social day on 18 September.

If you're playing at around Grade 3 level or above, this is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, meet other talented musicians, and be part of a full orchestra.
