Defensive driving

We have some spots available on the next defensive driving course to be run on Tuesday 18, Thursday 20, Tuesday 25, and Thursday 27 August, from 3:10pm to 5:10pm each day.  If you are interested, please email Abbe as soon as possible: abbe.milne@rollestoncollege.nz.

UC Civil engineering visit

A group of 20 students went to the Model Structures Lab at UC which is part of the Civil Engineering department. They learned all about the degree and heard from PhD research students. They were tasked with building bridges from popsicle sticks and the winning bridge had to have the best efficiency based on the weight of the bridge and how much weight it could hold before it broke.

Our winning team with their bridge and prize, although the bridge itself was very slightly heavier, it held a large amount of weight before breaking compared to the other teams.
