POPO Pathways Scholarship
Value: Up to $15,000
Supporting Pacific students enrolling in the University of Otago Pathways Programme in 2027. The scholarship provides financial support towards accommodation and helps students prepare for university-level study and future pathways into Health Sciences.
The Pathways Programme is an excellent option for students who:
This scholarship is for the University of Otago Pathways Programme in 2027.
This scholarship is NOT for students entering Health Sciences First Year (HSFY) directly.
Students awarded this scholarship will complete the Pathways Programme first (one year-long certificate) before progressing into Health Sciences First Year (HSFY) in 2028.

POPO Pacific Chemistry Scholarship – CHEM 150
Value: $2,500
Supporting Pacific students enrolling in CHEM 150 summer school paper (Concepts in Chemistry) at the University of Otago. The scholarship is designed to assist students who require additional chemistry preparation before progressing into Health Sciences First Year. See the information and application form.
The scholarship supports course fees and accommodation for the duration of the CHEM 150 programme.

POPO Pacific Physics Scholarship – JumpSTART Physics
Value: $2,500
Supporting Pacific students preparing for Health Sciences First Year through the University of Otago JumpSTART Physics (summer school paper).
The scholarship provides comprehensive support, including course costs and accommodation, as well as additional support to help students transition successfully into university study. Find out more and download the application form.

These opportunities are designed to support Pacific students who are interested in pursuing university study, particularly pathways towards Health Sciences at the University of Otago.
