Exploring Career Pathways: The Gateway Programme 2027

We are currently taking expressions of interest from our year 11 learners for our Gateway Programme next year.

Gateway is a fantastic, government-funded initiative designed to help senior students make a smooth transition from school into employment or further study. It integrates workplace learning with their regular school subjects.

The programme matches students with an employer to undertake work which will set them up for success within their chosen industry, give them the opportunity to earn relevant NZQA credits, enhance their CV, and make employer contacts. It's not an industry taster course, the student develops a partnership with a specific company or organisation.

If your learner is ready to explore their options and gain hands-on skills, please contact our Gateway Coordinator, Abbe Milne, at abbe.milne@rollestoncollege.nz.
