Our Programme

Welcome to Rosmini College Touch, a thriving sport driven by speed, skill, and strong school spirit. Over the past several years, our Touch programme has experienced tremendous growth, drawing impressive player numbers across all year levels. We cater to athletes from Intermediate through to Senior levels, providing a structured pathway for students to refine their agility, compete at high levels, and represent the blue and red with pride.

Our season is split across the school year to maximise participation and player development. Senior teams take to the field in Term 1, headlined by our top Premier team competing at the highest level in the Auckland-wide Premier competition. In Term 4, the focus shifts to our Junior and Intermediate teams, offering our younger athletes the perfect platform to build their fundamentals, gain valuable match experience, and enjoy competing alongside their mates.

Underpinned by top-level coaches, Rosmini Touch places a strong emphasis on individual skill, tactical awareness, and team culture. This quality environment directly supports player success, with a strong number of Rosmini athletes regularly earning selection into the North Harbour Representative programme.

Capping off our year, Rosmini consistently attends the prestigious New Zealand Secondary Schools Touch Championships every December, proudly measuring our talent against the very best in the country.

Competition Dates:

Premier Boys

Mondays, 9 February – 9 March 2026

Game Times: 4pm - 6pm. All teams will play a minimum of two games per night (double headers).

Playing Venue: Coxs Bay Park, Westmere

Senior Zones

Tuesdays, 17th February – 10th March 2026

Game Times: 4pm - 6pm. All teams will play a minimum of two games per night (double headers).

Playing Venue: Becroft Park, Forrest Hill

New Zealand Secondary Schools Touch Championships

Dates: 11-13 December 2026
Venue: Gisborne

Eligibility: To be eligible to trial for the Touch Nationals Tournament Team (which takes place in December), you must have played in either the Term 1 Premier or Senior Touch Zones Team.

Our Year 9 & 10 students play in the North Harbour Intermediate competition in Term 4. We also send our top team to the Auckland Junior Touch Champs.

Venue: Mt Wellington War Memorial Reserve

Our Year 7 & 8 students play in the North Harbour Intermediate competition in Term 4. There is also a North Harbour Zone Day for our top team/s.

Important Information

Coaches & Managers: We rely on parent volunteers to help run our teams. We are currently asking senior pupils to step up as coaches, but parent support remains essential. Please check the box on this form if you are able to coach or manage a team.

The number of competitive teams entered will be determined by how many volunteer coaches we have to train and coach those teams.

All teams must have an Adult Team Manager present at every game.

Social Teams: Social players do not attend trials; they will be placed in a team together, and do not train. The school will not provide coaches for social teams.Social teams must have a Parent/Guardian to Manage the team at games. If you have a group of friends that want to play in a Social team together, please note this under Comment on the form.
