We are thrilled to share that Southern Zone Academy player Mason Lome-Hindle has officially signed with the NZ Warriors and will join their SG Ball (U19) squad for 2025!

Mason made a strong impression early in the year with an outstanding performance at the National Nines, where he played for the Otago U18s Boys and was awarded the MVP of the tournament.

Hailing from Dunedin, a student of Otago Boys High School, Mason has been a dedicated member of the Southern Zone Academy this year, seizing every opportunity that came his way. His remarkable growth and development throughout the year caught the attention of the NZ Warriors, and we're proud to have our first Southern Zone Academy player achieve his dream and sign with the NZ Warriors. This milestone highlights the success of the Southern Zone Academy in its inaugural year and the exceptional work Nathan Jones has done in nurturing our young talent.

A big congratulations to Mason, his family, and Otago Rugby League. This is a huge announcement not only for Mason but for Rugby League in the South!
