Senior Competition structure

●  Teams consist of 7 players (6 Field players, 1 Goalie).

●  Each registered team can have a minimum of 8 players and a maximum 12 players per team.

●  Games are played in the deep end of the Main Pool.

●  There will be one round and some teams may play some teams twice depending on the number of teams & entities for the number of weeks the pool is available, every team plays in the semi’s.

●  Finals(top4teams)aredeterminedbasedonapointssystem(3-Win, 1-draw, 0-loss)

●  Game are played in aline with FINA rules

●  No shot clock.

●  Every team must have an adult on the bench poolside. A student coach must be accompanied by an adult for health and safety reasons. Failure to do so may result in your team defaulting.



Year 7-8 specific

●  Must be in years 7 or 8 at school or equivalent.

●  If you are short of players you can pull players from another team in this grade from your school. However they must not replace any named player in the team. Named team players must play before any pulled in player is used. Please where possible refrain from asking SWP representative players to fill in to ensure the integrity of the teams are maintained.

●  Games are 9 minute halves.



Year 9-13 specific

●  Must be in years 9-13 at school or equivalent.

●  Teams must be graded

●  Players who are in the A team cannot play down in a lower team.

●  Players can play up in a higher level team but not down. However they must not replace any named player in the team. Named team players must play before any pulled in player is used. Please where possible refrain from asking SWP representative players to fill in to ensure the integrity of the teams are maintained.

●  Games are 7 minute quarters.

●  SWP board may review team lists.
