Cycle Skills Instructor (Part-Time, Term Time Only)
Bike and Hike Northland Trust is seeking two enthusiastic Cycle Skills Instructors to help deliver the nationally recognised Bike Ready cycle skills training programme to schools across the Kaipara District.
These part-time positions involve delivering cycle skills and road safety education to students in Years 5–8, helping to improve the health, wellbeing, and safety of Northland tamariki. The roles are 15–20 hours per week during school terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year), with a mix of programme delivery and school liaison/administration.
Based primarily in the Kaipara District, ideally near Dargaville, instructors will travel to local and rural schools as required. No advanced cycling experience is necessary, but an interest in cycling, active transport, recreation, and working with children is essential.
Bike and Hike Northland Trust will provide a vehicle, trailer, bikes, helmets, training, and resources. Confidence driving with a trailer is an advantage but can be learned.
