If you wish to do competitive Winter Events like Cross Country and/or Road Race, then you need to register for the new season which officially starts on 1st April. The fees will remain the same, but if the Summer fee gets increased, then you might need to "top-up" your fee come summer.

Manawatu-Wanganui Centre Winter Champs

Centre Cross Country Championships – 
Centre Road and Race Walk Championships - 15th August 2026.

Manawatu-Whanganui Road Race Champs

  • Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
  • Location: Beaconsfield Hall, Waituna West Road (near Feilding)
  • Time: The course will be marked and open for inspection at midday, with races commencing at 1:00 PM.
  • Grades: Events are structured for various age brackets—ranging from Under-8 to Under-20, Senior (20-34), and Masters (35+) categories.
  • The entry fee is $5 for registered club members and $10 for unregistered visitors.

  • How to Enter: Online entries will be processed closer to the event via the Feilding Moa Webscorer Registration Portal.
  • Entry Deadline: Online registrations will close strictly at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026. 
  • Payment Method: Registered club members are usually invoiced directly through their home clubs, while community visitors can pay their $10 entry fee via cash on race day. 
  • Championship Eligibility: To be eligible for official championship certificates and medals, you must be a fully registered athlete with an Athletics New Zealand affiliated club within the Manawatu-Whanganui Centre and compete in your official club uniform.

  • ​​​​​​​Age Calculations: Your age grade for youth and senior divisions is determined by your age as of 31 December 2026.

  • Masters Divisions: For Masters runners (35+), eligibility is calculated using your precise age on race day. Results are ultimately grouped into 5-year brackets (e.g., 35–39, 40–44).
