Junior Cricket Updates
Training:
Wednesday’s @ 3:45pm at the Tairua Rugby and Sports Club crickets net for both year 4/6 & 6/8.
Results:
The kids were excited to have the first weekend of Junior cricket in 2022 with both a 5/6yr and 7/8yr team rareing to go. Unfortunately the 7/8 team's game was cancelled but our brand new 5/6 team got a hit out at home against Whangamata. It was many of the kids first games and they did a wonderful job getting to 102/7 from their 20 overs. Whangamata chased well and always looked comfortable until some late wickets for Tairua (again) changed everything, giving a tense finish before Whangamata finally got the win. A big thanks to Liv and Jeff who stood up supporting another bunch of talented Tairua kids.
