JUNIOR REGISTRATIONS OPEN 1ST SEPTEMBER

Membership of Taradale Sports Association Incorporated (TSA)

No additional cost to join

The TSA is a membership based not-for-profit incorporated society which supports four sports clubs: Greendale Tennis Club, Napier Harrier Club, Taradale Cricket Club and the Taradale Association Football Club.

Members of any of the four sports clubs above are warmly invited to consider membership of the TSA. Your membership of the TSA would commence at the same time as your club membership. TSA membership will automatically end when membership of your sports club ends, or earlier if you give written notice to your club to end your TSA membership.

The TSA promotes and encourages sport and recreational activities of all kinds and provides sporting, recreational and social facilities and amenities for members. Our clubs offer a diverse range of sporting activities across a range of age groups which encourage health, wellbeing and sportsmanship.

Our building in Taradale is run and administered by the TSA. It is available for the use of our clubs as a meeting venue and to host club fundraising activities, celebrations and awards. Sports display cabinets are situated there, as well as storage facilities for club equipment and uniforms, and showers and toilet facilities for players. The TSA operates a Liquor Licence for the bar located on site.

The TSA fundraises for sports equipment to support its member clubs as well as donating to other organisations such as schools or providing support to individual players.

Our society is primarily funded by grants with additional funding provided by club room hireage, the bar and fees received from the clubs.

Each club appoints three members annually to serve on the TSA Board, thereby ensuring a range of perspectives are brought to the governance table.

As a TSA member you would be able to:

  • Access the facilities provided by the TSA (and hire the clubrooms at a discounted rate)
  • Toilets
  • Changing rooms and showers
  • Bar
  • Kitchen
  • Attend the TSA’s Annual General Meeting, as well as any TSA Special Meetings
  • Speak at General Meetings
  • Stand for appointment by your club to the TSA Board
  • Call for a Special Meeting to be held (in conjunction with 3 other Members)
  • Request a Members Motion to be placed on a General Meeting Agenda

Thank you for considering membership of the TSA.
