Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Your child has expressed an interest to be a part of a three person Taradale Intermediate table tennis team. This is a Hawkes Bay Table Tennis run event with mostly High School teams competing.
I will also be running weekly coaching sessions on Wednesday afternoons for the learners involved in the competition. It is important that learners attend these weekly sessions to develop their skills and understand the rules of the game.
I will be available to help get the learners organised on the night, but with multiple teams competing, I will be roving between the teams. You will need to be able to take your child to the venue and either drop off/pick up or stay to watch them play.
If your child can participate in this opportunity, please complete the digital permission form above. Please discuss with your child that they are committing to 6 weeks of coaching before school and attending the matches, and it is an expectation that they follow our school Code of Conduct.
There is a limited number of teams which we can enter due to numbers of teams able to play in the competition, hence I will be cutting the registrations off at 30 people.
Venue: Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre, Napier
Cost: $25 to be paid as part of your online registration. As sport is considered an extra-curricular activity, TIS has a ‘no pay, no play’ policy before the commencement of the competition.
Should you have a credit balance on your child's school account, and wish to allocate this to payment and registration of this activity, please phone (06 8447264) Sonja in the school office who will arrange this for you.
