Life Members

On Saturday, March 28, Te Puke Squash Club welcomed four new life members at a special evening.  Vicki and Rod Herdman, Peter and Nancy Crossan, join the club's long standing life members Kevin Treloar, Beth and Murray Walmsley, Bruce McLeod, Don Murray and Colin Blanchard.

Members listened as club patron, Kevin Treloar, recounted the history of the squash club from the humble beginnings in a cow paddock on the family farm at Maketu in 1968, through its 41 years of distinguished players and legendary evenings.

Other guest speakers included Ian Davis, Kelly Shaw, Jane Hutchings and Simon McGillivray who spoke about the new life members contributions to the club and provided some humorous anecdotes about their exploits over the years.
