COLUMN SPLITTER

The Column Splitter widget allows you to have detailed control over the layout of your website. With it you can divide columns into custom configurations and stack Column Splitter widgets for precise column formatting.

Using the Column Splitter widget

With the Column Splitter widget, a single column can be divided into up to four further columns. This allows for the display of multiple widgets compactly, and is a design feature that is commonly taken advantage of when setting images to display as custom buttons on your site (for example, the small Facebook or Instagram icons that link to an organisations social media pages).

To achieve this layout, follow the steps outlined below.

1. To get started, add the Column Splitter widget. Edit your layout and design in the settings pop-up - here we will use the three column split.

2. To make the final display even more compact, add another Column Splitter widget in one of your three newly created columns.

3. This time we will select the four column split, as we intend to display images as small custom buttons. Save when finished.

4. The next step is to add content to the second Column Splitter widget. You can form custom buttons by adding Image widgets, selecting the appropriate icons, and then linking them to their intended social media sites.

5. With these settings, this combination of Column Splitter and Image widgets would appear as shown below.
