Referees play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the game and to ensure that the correct match protocols are followed. Becoming a knowledgable and competent referee is rewarding, knowing that you are making a positive impact and contributing to the game's success.

REFEREE PATHWAY​​​​​​​


Volleyball Waikato delivers several referee courses throughout the year, including the Senior Referee Course in Term 1, the Regional Referee Course in Term 2 for the club and IPC seasons, and the Junior Referee Course in late Term 3 ahead of the Waikato Junior Championships.

As part of our commitment to raising the standard of refereeing across the region, all teams competing in Division 1 of the Waikato Junior and Senior Championships must provide qualified referees.
