Welcome to Wainuiomata AFC for the 2024 season!

The junior football season runs from 4th May 2024 to 31st August 2024 on a Saturday morning for all grades and teams except First Kicks and U17's. Please note their are no games in the middle weekend  school holidays.

​​​​​​​FOOTBALL FOR ALL PROGRAMME:

Capital Football along with the Wellington Phoenix deliver an amazing Football For All Programme that has the aim to remove barriers that may stop your child from playing football. Some of the benefits include: registration fees; equipment - boots, playing shorts, socks and shirt; and access to a Community Coordinator.

The programme has been designed to focus on refugee and immigrant communities, as well as lower socio-economic families and families facing hardship.

There are different levels of support that can be provided to players. Full support, Partial or registration.

COACHING:

​​Your child's training is organised by the coach who is generally a parent or volunteer. Volunteer coaches are an extremely important role for our Juniors. Therefore if you feel you would like to volunteer we would love to hear from you. Please email the club for information.

The club and capital football provide information and courses to assist you. 

If Cancelled you will receive a text from your coach.

GIRLS ONLY FOOTBALL:

We are hoping to have enough interest in entering a few girls only teams this year that play on Sunday's. Girls can play in mixed football on a Saturday and in the girls only league on a Sunday. For more information please email the club. 

If you have two children playing football this season there is a discount of $20.00 if you have three children it is $30.00 discount. Please email [email protected] to advise the children's names.


PLAYING STRIP/KIT:

All player's will be provided with a Wainui playing shirt (to be returned at the end of the season) and you will need to purchase black shorts and socks. These can be purchased at Football central or The Warehouse, Rebel sport, K mart etc.  

For First Kicks players they can wear what they feel comfortable in. All players must wear shin pads and boots which can be purchased at any sports store.

JUNIOR AGE GROUPS AND FEES:

CAPITAL FOOTBALL GUIDELINES:

Age grades are calculated on the age the player turns in that year.  For example, a player who turns 11 during the year (1 January to 31 December) must play in under 11, unless an application for age dispensation has been approved by Capital Football.

Girls can play in the age group below their chronological age, in mixed football competitions, as per the above regulation. For example, a girl who is under 11, may play in an under 10 mixed team.

 First Kicks - 4-6 years - $65.00

7th grade - born 2017   = $95.00

8th grade - born 2016   = $95.00

9th grade - born 2015   = $95.00

10th grade - born 2014  = $95.00

11th grade - born 2013  = $95.00

12th grade - born 2012  = $95.00

13th grade - born 2011  = $115.00

14th/15th grade - born 2009 or 2010  = $115.00

17th Grade   =  $135.00     

Please note: If you have two children participating in our Junior program please deduct $20.00 from your payment. If you have 3 or more children participating please deduct $40.00.

Please note girls can play down a league if required. This year we are encouraging girls to enter in the Capital football girls only leagues on Sundays. Please email if you wish to find out more information.

These funds are required to help with the running of our football club. The fees help cover the following:

  • Equipment to help improve your/team game - Kit, balls, bibs, cones, nets etc
  • Affiliation fees to Capital Football and NZ Football
  • Junior & Senior Prize givings - Trophies, medals, certificates, table cloths etc
  • Turf and Hall hirage fees
  • Other cost - training lights, power, kitcher etc
