Season Dates:
β½ Age Grades & Eligibility:
Age grades are determined by the age a player turns during the calendar year (1 January β 31 December).
Example: A player turning 11 in 2025 must play in the Under-11 category unless an approved age dispensation is granted by Capital Football.
First Kicks/Fun Football Ages 4 to 8 (Born 2022-2017)
Junior Football Ages 9 to 12 (Born 2016 - 2013)
Youth Football Ages 13 to 17 (Born 2012 - 2008)

π Girls-Only Football:
Girls-only teams play on Sundays throughout the Wellington region. We offer teams for U10 (Girls turning 9 and 10) & U12 (Girls turning 11 & 12)

π° Family Discounts:
If you have two children playing this season, you will receive a $20 discount.
If you have three children playing, you will receive a $30 discount.

Please note their are no games in the middle weekend school holidays.
All fees are to be paid at the time of registration or no later than 3 May 2025 (first game of football).
Please note if a player's fee is not paid they may be red flagged at the end of the season. Unfortunately if this is actioned the player will not be able to register for the following season until the fees have been paid.

βββββββFOOTBALL FOR ALL PROGRAMME:
Capital Football along with the Wellington Phoenix deliver an Football For All Programme which is a fantastic initiative aimed at making football accessible to players from diverse backgrounds, especially those who face financial or social challenges. By providing support through some of the following: registration fees, equipment - boots, shorts etc, and a dedicated coordinator, this program helps break down barriers to participation.
There are different levels of support that can be provided to players. Full support, Partial or registration.

COACHING:
ββAt our club, your child's training sessions are typically organized by a coach, who is usually a parent or volunteer. Volunteer coaches play a crucial role in supporting our junior teams, and we greatly appreciate their contribution. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to us via email for more information.
Both the club and Capital Football offer a range of resources and courses to support you in your coaching role, ensuring you have the tools you need to succeed.
Cancelled Sessions
In the event of a session being cancelled, you will receive a text from your child's coach with the relevant details.
PLAYING STRIP/KIT:
All player's will be provided with a Wainui playing shirt (to be returned at the end of the season) and you will need to purchase black shorts and socks. These can be purchased at Football central or The Warehouse, Rebel sport, K mart etc.
For First Kicks players they can wear what they feel comfortable in. All players must wear shin pads and boots which can be purchased at any sports store.

βββββββWHAT DO YOUR FEES COVER:
These funds are required to help with the running of our football club. The fees help cover the following:
- Equipment to help improve your/team game - Kit, balls, bibs, cones, nets etc
- Affiliation fees to Capital Football and NZ Football
- Junior & Senior Prize givings - Trophies, medals, certificates, table cloths etc
- Turf and Hall hirage fees
- Other cost - training lights, power, kitchen etc
