Learning & Learning Support

Students who are referred to the learning hub have an Individual learning plan that is co-constructed with them, around specific goals that they wish to achieve. Referrals to the learning hub might be appropriate for students who are highly anxious, returning to school after a long absence, needing extra support in a subject, need support with literacy and numeracy, or correspondence.

Each student timetable is unique as each student's needs are different. Deans, learning support coordinator, whanau or students themselves can refer to be placed in the hub. Usually students will spend 4-5 weeks in this space before a transition plan back to mainstream is put in place. This is a proactive student driven initiative to support students in their learning journey.

Any questions about this space should be directed to Deputy Principal Lisa Akers.
