We're currently taking registrations for the 2026/27 season. You can do this by filling out the form linked on the side.
The form will ask what grade you want to play at. These are all based on the player's age as at 31 December this year. E.g. my daughter is turning 12 on 15 January, she qualitfies for U12s; my son is turning 15 on 24 December, he must play U17s.
I confirm by submitting this registration form that all information given on this form is true and correct.
If I am registering myself, I consent to becoming a Member of the Waitakere Bears Softball Club. If I am registering a player under the age of 18, I consent on their behalf to them becoming a Member of the Waitakere Bears Softball Club. I agree that the Member will abide by the Club's Constitution, rules and policies.
I give permission for the Club to put photos I may appear in on the Club website, Facebook account and newsletters.
I agree to pay for any Club uniform or gear that I am issued, if I lose or neglect to return it to the manager and/or uniform steward at the end of the season.
I also agree that my details enclosed in this registration can be entered onto a team list and issued to other Members within the Club and used for statistical information given to external parties at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
I agree not to place the Bears logo on any garment for personal use or for sale without written approval from the Executive Committee.
I agree to pay transfer fees if I transfer in from another Club and then transfer out before serving a minimum 2 years with the Club.
Understanding that parents/caregivers are the single most important role model for their children, I agree to:
Maintain and display self-control while attending practices, games or tournaments in which my child is participating;
Give positive encouragement from the side lines, because it is the best way to support the team and my child's athletic endeavours;
Teach my child to play by the rules, respect game officials and respect others, because it is as important as learning the skills necessary to successfully play a sport; and
Recognise that the Coach or Manager can best represent the team when dealing with the umpire.
Waitakere Bears is about the kids developing a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship and self-esteem and learning the skills of the game, and I fully support these ideals.
