FOOTBALL

Overview

WHS has a 1st XI Boys and 1st XI Girls football team who compete in the Central Otago Schools Competition, exchanges, and South Island Secondary School tournaments held during Winter Tournament Week. 2nd XV teams are dependant on student numbers.

Regular, weekly football is delivered by QAFC (Queenstown Associated Football Club).

Futsal opportunities are run at the Events Centre in Term 3.

Season Details

All school football is played in Term 2 and 3 with a selection process for the 1st XI teams.

The Boys and Girls team compete in the Central Otago Secondary School Football competition.

The 1st XI Boys and Girls teams compete in two winter exchanges and the South Island Secondary School Tournament.

For Club football, pre-season begins in Term 1 with Saturday and Sunday competitions starting in Term 2. Contact the QAFC for more details.
