Player Code of Conduct:  Parents we suggest you go over these things with your child!​​​​​​​

• LEAD BY EXAMPLE
• Treat all players how you would like to be treated. Bullying and unfair treatment of another player is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
• Take responsibility for your performance both on and off the court. You are a representative of Wellsford Netball Club and should behave in an appropriate manner.
• Be a team player! Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you.
• Control your temper. Verbal abuse of umpires and deliberate contact to an umpire or another player is not acceptable under any circumstances.
• Be a good sport. Applaud good play from both your team and the opposition.
• Cooperate with your coach, teammates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
• Play by the rules!
• NEVER ARGUE with an umpire. If you disagree, speak with your coach for clarification in the first instance.  Alternatively, have your coach or manager approach the umpire during a break or after the game and ask them to verify the rule you are unsure about.
• Wear your uniform correctly and with pride. Ensure you wear appropriate gear and shoes for trainings. Hair must be tied back and out of the face, nails cut short, all jewelry and piercings must be removed before the game/training.
• Be an active participant. Be punctual and attend all trainings and games. You have made a commitment for the entire season. Honor your commitment.
• Respect the decisions of the coach. Discuss any concerns privately away from the game with your coach and/or manager.
