School Sessions

WGSA is bringing softball directly into Northland schools through the Northland Rangatahi Softball Activation Programme.

Our facilitators will deliver fun, practical sessions that introduce students to the fundamentals of softball in a safe and supportive environment. No previous softball experience is required.

What students will learn

• Throwing and catching
• Batting techniques
• Fielding and movement
• Basic softball rules
• Teamwork and communication
• Confidence through active participation

Who can participate?

The programme is available to students in Years 7–11. Sessions are suitable for beginners and students who already have softball experience.

• Support for schools preparing teams for the tournament
