Central Southland Junior Hockey

Within our Association we are very lucky to have a Club of dedicated volunteers striving to provide Hockey opportunities for the Primary age children of Central Southland. The catchment area creating an opportunity for over 150 players throughout Central Southland that love to play the game!

Year 1-4

On Monday nights throughout Term 2 and half of Term 3, children from all around the Central area converge on Winton to play for their schools in their very own competition. This is run over two separate venues and has the Y1-2 Mini Sticks playing under cover to eliminate the Winter chill.

Year 5-8

On Wednesday and Thursday nights, Central Southland Junior Hockey have 4 teams entered in the Invercargill Primary Y5-6 and Y7-8 Junior High Competitions for 2025.

Referees

They offer multiple opportunities for their Senior players to partake in Umpiring courses mentored by Southlands umpire Developers. The Umpires volunteer their time in the Junior competition in Winton.

Over the years this Club has proudly produced many of our Associations U13 Representatives.
