2019 IMGA Nations Team Championship

The New Zealand Mounted Games Association and Canterbury MGA are proud to be hosting the Tenth Nations Team Championship in Canterbury, New Zealand.  The event will be held from the 13th - 19th October 2019 in association with the Ellesmere Agricultural & Pastoral Show.

Trents Estate in Prebbleton, Canterbury, will be the home base and venue for the heats. The finals will be held over two sessions at Leeston (20 mins away) as a major feature of the Ellesmere A & P (Agricultural & Pastoral) Show, which has an attendance of over 20,000 people. Trents Estate is on 30 hectares of flat Canterbury land, only 15 minutes from Christchurch and the international airport. The Gala dinner on Saturday night will be held in our beautiful Christchurch Botanic Gardens ilex cafe.

The ponies will be accommodated in paddocks and yards on the grounds. There will be powered sites for campervans, caravans and space for tents for the duration of the competition, with shower and toilet facilities nearby.

Games will be played on grass pitches using equipment that meets IMGA standards. Points and scoring will be according to international rules.
