2024 INTER CIG REPRESENTATIVE  PROGRAMME RULES

(TOMLINSON TROPHY)

The following to be the rules of the competition:

1.     Teams taking part will be Catholics, Ellesmere,  North Canterbury, Metro, CCC West, CCC East.

        Teams to play each of the others each season, (6 games)

2.     That teams consist of five (5) teams of four (4) players.

3.     A draw to be held to determine teams to play each other.  A further draw to be held to determine the mats to be played on.

4.     Three rounds of play each night.

        A… Two teams play Fours, Pairs, (lead and third, Skip and second) and all play singles

        B…Three teams play Fours ,Pairs ( lead and third, Skip and second)  and triples (any order) and

1 player Singles (any of the 4 players)

Fours, Pairs, Triples will be 8 ends, Singles 10 ends.

5.     That two (2) points be recorded for a win, one (1) point for a draw and zero (0) points for a loss.   

6.     The group winning the most rounds shall be the champion CIG.   Points totalled over the season will be used for count back if no outright winner.

7.     It is the responsibility of the ‘Home’ CIG to forward the results of each of the games to the CIBA SECRETARY.

8.     The draw for play to be based on the 2021 draw.

        For each succeeding year:

        Round 3 to become Round 1.

        Round 4 to become Round 2.

        Round 5 to become Round 3.

        Round 6 to become Round 4.

        Round 1 to become Round 5.

        Round 2 to become Round 6

9.     The ‘Home’ CIG to alternate each year.

10.   NO ENDS TO START AFTER 10.15PM

11.   SUPPER  Tea and Biscuits will be served on completion of games
