Touch is an exciting and inclusive game played by teams of six players that promotes the fundamental skills of running, passing, catching, evasion and support play.
Played by participants of all ages and genders, Touch develops basic attack and defence skills in a minimal contact environment.
Pohutukawa Coast Touch module offers the following grades:
U6 & U8 Grades: (Mixed gender teams)
Mixed teams: Open ratio; meaning no set limits on the number of players of each gender.
Each team can register up to 14 players.
No scores, placings or competition ranking is recorded.
U10, U12, & U14 Grades: (Single-sex teams)
Single-sex teams: Female players have the option to join a male-grade team if they choose. Male players are not permitted to play in the female grade.
Each team can register up to 14 players.
Scores and placings are recorded.
U16 Grade:
Mixed teams: Standard mixed rules apply.
Each team can register up to 14 players.
Players aged 13 years and over are eligible to play in Senior grades (Mixed/Mens & Womens).
Scores and placings are recorded.
