Hi everyone,

just back from the first committee meeting of 2013 and am happy to be able to tell you our season dates for the year will be the first Tuesday in March (5th) until the last Tuesday in September (24th) giving members 30 weeks of club badminton.

However, starting next Tuesday we are running casual nights 7-9pm for $8 per-player. These casual nights will run for 3 weeks (5th, 12th and 19th).

The last Tuesday of Feb (26th) is set aside for our AGM (Annual General Meeting) which will begin with free lights/shuttles from 7-7.30pm, the meeting then some more free games afterwards. All members are welcome and encouraged to come along to the AGM where we elect/re-elect committee members and office bearers, set out our goals for the year as well as have opportunities for all members who don't usually attend committee meetings to be heard.

This is also the time to let us know if you're interested in sitting on the committee as we're always happy for new members! If you have questions around this, please feel free to email us.

Fees are higher than last year due to the OBA increasing lighting costs for clubs by 25% as well as the committee agreeing to extend the club season due to continued interest from members. Last year we ran a tight budget and did well through fund-raising and are aiming for the same again for the 2013 season. The OBA have also increased the affiliation fee to $45 senior/$25 junior member. The club subscriptions for 2013 are:

$80 - Adult
$70 - Junior (U17)/Student
$140 Couple price
Plus the relative $45/$25 OBA affiliation fee. eg. 1 adult pays $80 club + $45 OBA = $125 which covers the entire 30 week season.
